Denim Expert Limited has taken a significant step towards combating human trafficking and ensuring safe migration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Winrock International Institute for Agricultural Development, a U.S.-based organization funded by the USAID.

The aim of this collaboration is to jointly address areas related to awareness activities, prevention of human trafficking, and the provision of job opportunities for low-skilled survivors and individuals vulnerable to trafficking. When a devastating fire swept through the Bhera market slum in Chattogram's Chaktai area on 2019, claiming nine lives and injuring several others, Denim Expert Limited introduced a relief program called "Stand Together for Humanity" in collaboration with the Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View Hotel. Through this joint effort, Denim Expert Limited provided vital assistance to the victims, offering support and solace during their immense hardship. Denim Expert Limited is committed to pioneering approaches that improve the health and safety standards for all our employees. As part of these initiatives, the company has recently partnered with the Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) to establish a well-equipped eye care center within our existing medical care facilities. Founded in Australia four years ago, the FHF focuses on preventable and treatable eye diseases such as cataracts, trachoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Their charitable in-country work involves local training and the provision of affordable technology, enabling doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers to recognize, diagnose, refer, and treat eye problems within their communities. . This facility benefits all employees, maintaining the precious gift of sight, further reinforcing the commitment to prioritizing employee overall welfare.

Denim Expert Limited's decision to establish operations in Chittagong provides a strategic advantage in minimizing carbon emissions and energy consumption associated with transportation logistics. By being located in close proximity to Chittagong Port, one of the busiest seaports in the region, we reduce the need for long-distance trucking of raw materials inbound and finished goods outbound. This location choice results in significant reductions in fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions compared to other garment manufacturing centers farther inland. 



Over the course of a year, the shortened travel distances achievable from our Chittagong base prevent hundreds of tons of greenhouse gas emissions that would otherwise be generated. Our strategic geographic positioning is an integral part of our commitment to sustainable practices that benefit the environment.
