Victory Day is a national holiday in Bangladesh, celebrated every year, on the 16th December, to commemorate the victory of the allied forces over the Pakistani forces in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. The country celebrates the establishment of our sovereign nation and remembers the 3 million martyrs that gave their lives to the cause of liberation.
Victory Day is recognized as a unique chapter in the history of Bangladesh and is nationally recognized as a special day to be celebrated with enthusiasm and great emotions. The activities of the day began with various programmes organized at the state level and by various public and private organizations..
In recognition of this nationally heralded event, Denim Expert Ltd. celebrate Victory Day with a variety of organized programmes, starting with a colourful rally, held in the early morning with a delegation of the senior management, office staff and factoryworkers.
The programme starts at 8:00am with the delegation party wearing the traditional Bangladesh dress – saris for the women representatives and Panjabi for the men. All of the employees who are willing to participate in the programme gather in the early morning at the factory to celebrate the day.
After 30 minutes a rally starts from the factory gates and ends at the war memorial at the Karnaphuli EPZ main gate. At the end of the rally, the management and employees lay flowers at the memorial and stand in solemn silence, paying homage and thanks to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the nation.
As a final mark of respect the gathered employees give their best wishes and prayers for the continuing happiness, prosperity and welfare of our beloved nation.
